well, I didn't chicken out ...and thanks to those who saw through my fears and really gave me comfort. I had laparoscopic surgery last Wednesday ... one of the most difficult things I encountered in the hospital was nausea (probably due to the pain medication), but I still have horrible bouts with it. I'm also having problems eating ... I got the ISOPURE protein mix ... drank it two days, and now cannot tolerate it (especially chocolate ... I tried the SF Carnation Instant Breakfast in chocolate, and that wasn't do-able either) ... I can do cottage cheese and jello, but cannot tolerate the thought of pureeing chicken, or really even any cooking (I get nauseated). The Flintstones and even Centrum chewable vitamins leave a horrible metallic taste in my mouth for hours. My brain is screaming for pizza and a burger, but I guess that's what they call "head hunger". Other than that, I'm really not in much pain (haven't weighed myself ... waiting til follow-up appt with surgeon on Friday), but does this food tolerance get better?
