13 weeks

Nov 12, 2013

Well things are good so far. I've lost 54lbs and am wearing a size 14/12 depends on the pants. Dr or NP said I'm doing great. I feel like I'm losing slower than I should but NP said no I'm doing great. So I'm just going to keep chugging along. I'm feeling depressed today I don't why, but hope it passes soon. I get my stitches out tomorrow from my hand surgery. Sometimes I feel like I didn't have surgery. Sometimes I feel sooo hungry and then some days I can't eat hardly anything. Well I feel like I'm rambling and complaining so I'm just going to stop here.....

almost 9weeks out

Oct 14, 2013

So things have been going pretty good. I've lost a total of 42lbs so far. Its definitly easier to do some physical activity. I have a bad back so its hard to do physical work anyway. But anyways I can fit intoa size 14 pants and an xl(19) shirts, so it makes feel like I've made great progress. However when I look in the mirror sometimes I can see I've lost weight but mostly I still see a fat person. Hopefully this gets better and I start seeing me like everyone else does. My hair ooohh my precious hair is falling out I hope it doesn't get to bad, I love my hair and its soooo long. I have a wig I can wear if I need to but hopefully it doesnt come that!! Well lets see where time and life takes us from...hopefully its all good.

So I woke this morning feeling tired and the nausea had returned, but after I starting drinking water and then ate things have been good. I hope it continues to get better. You know what...I hate the way my meds taste crushed it takes me forever to get them down. Hopefully I don't have to crush them forever. I'll keep you updated on my progress. :)

How my surgery went

My surgery went fairly well. I had to be to the hopital(which is about 45mins from my house)at 5am, my surgery was schedule for 7:30am. I woke up in recovery is so much pain and my surgery was done lap. I sure wasn't expecting the pain to be as bad as it was. I was only in the hopital for a day. I came home for the firat few days things were going ok, but then I started to get nauseous and eventually I coulnt eat. I was able to srink my water but that was it. So I drank and drank and drank some more lol. It took a few days but I started feeling better. So I can't wait to see how things go feom here(hopefully better).

Background on me

I'm 32yrs old and just had RNY on 8/8/2013. I wasn't always obese. After the birth of my first daughter(when I was 16) I went right back to 125lbs, however life happened and I slowly began to gain weight. When I got pregnant with my second daughter I weight about 160lbs, when she was born I weighed 180lbs. Ok so from there I couldn't lose the weight. I continued to gain weight and by the time I delivered my third daughter I weighed 200lbs. I have continued to gain weight since. Before surgery I weighed 242lbs, my highest weight was 247lbs. I know to some it doeant seem like alot but on my 5'3'' frame its hard to carry. I tried all kinds of diets and like everyone else nothing worked long term. So I made the decison to have surgery. So here I go hopefully I'm successful.....I'll keep you updated.
