I check it everyday and take my weekly weight on Sunday. Checking everyday helps to keep me mindful, but the day to day fluctuations don't bother me too much. I have a two lb window that I have been keeping my weight within, since mid-April. When I get to the higher end or a bit over, I dial back my calories a bit, and/or increase the frequency/intensity of my exercise.

too dang often!  I'm thinking about getting rid of it for a while because I'm a slow loser and it's starting to get to me.  It didn't at first but it is now.  I won't throw it out though because when I get to where I want to be I will use the scale to try keep from gaining.

Used to be I would stop weighing when I was gaining weight and ignored it.  So I ended up 100lbs overweight.  don't want to do THAT again.

Oh dear, I'm worse than that.  I check every morning and every evening.  I don't get upset when I am up a little because I know that I can vary 1-2lbs a day.

That's good to know. I too use check my weight but when I gained i would stop looking at the scale. I would not even want to go to doctors appointments because they always take your weight

Count me as someone who checks twice a day, always have.  I check first thing in the morning and last thing before bed.  I check before bed because it usually gives me a clue as to whether or not I would see a loss in the morning.  It was kind of like opening the presents before Christmas morning.  Now it is just a curiosity thing.  I am still trying to find my place as far as how much to eat in order to maintain so it is part of my education.  How else would I know what I need to eat if I didn't have the information on the scale to let me know if I need to increase my calories?
In the past when I have managed to lose weight and keep it off I got to where I didn't weigh myself too often and just went by my clothes.  I wasn't worried about gaining because I knew I was eating appropriately.  Just like I know when I was not eating right and I would avoid the scale because I wanted to stay in denial because I was unable or unwilling to change the way I ate.
I use my Sunday weight as my official weight for the week.  The rest of the time it is just because I am nosy.
