OK, I had some unsalted peanuts sitting in the pantry for a while that I bought by mistake. I have been thinking about making my own peanut butter for quite some time. At the suggestion of Gwen I tried Alton Brown's recipe for making Peanut butter but I didn't have any peanut oil so I made it without. Then I saw the cocoa powder and the sugar free caramel syrup sitting there I a light bulb went off so I put some of both in and zipped it all up in the old food processor. I can't really say it tastes like snickers but it is pretty good. Needs a bit more of the caramel syrup but as a first attempt it came out pretty good. Its edible and satisfies the sweet craving I have been having lately. Its a bit dry and crumbly but reminds me of those no bake chocolate oatmeal cookies.

Not exactly the way I wanted it but encouraging enough to give it another go.
