I have reflux now which is bad enough, but the past 2 days when I try to drink my water it sets my stomach on fire! Anyone have any info about this?

Thanks,

P

Try mild tea with a little milk in it . and take a tums. it will probably go away but are you taking prilosec?  very useful in the early stages. I took it for several; months. Only use the occasionl Tums now. Reflux is common after vsg and dr. usually prescr9bes prilosec.  gl diane

There is a surface tension difference between the water you drink and the fluid in your stomach.  Drinking something like tea, or adding crystal light to your water, which acts as a surfactant, will help.

I thought there was just no way that would help, but it certainly did.....you were right! Almost anything excep****er seems to be fine. Maybe in a.couple of weeks I will add it back slowly

That's great. Just remember, liquid is liquid. There's nothing magic about plain water.
