4 months down... and the rest of my life to go!

Today marks 4 months since my sleeve surgery.  While I would like to say it's been all roses and rainbows, it hasn't.  This has been a tremendous learning experience and everyday is still an adventure.  Going into this I did not realize there would be so much mental to it.  Not only wrapping your head around your new life style but taking the time to plan and figure out how to deal with the changing phases. I found myself in my own head a lot thinking about when will I have my next meal?  Will I meet my protein goals for the day?  So on and so forth.

It wasn't until I was about 2 1/2 to 3 months out that I finally felt like me again.  My energy has sky rocketed and I feel like a whole new me!  I wake up early to exercise and I kind of look forward to it.  Never thought I would say that :)

Everyone on this forum has been a true help on this journey and I am so very grateful for all the veterans words of wisdom and struggles.

I am so happy that I made this choice and can't wait for whats to come!  I fall a little more in love with my sleeve and myself everyday!

Thanks and (hugs) to you all!

Aleyna

Okay, this is what it's all about! I LOVE the fact that you've come to realize how much thinking and planning the transition to your new sleeve life takes. That is awesome. Such growth.... eventually many things will become routine and you won't have to expend as much mental energy dealing with your eating.

Your energy is going to get even better! You've just seen the tip of the iceberg.

You are setting yourself up for long term success to manage your weight loss. Keep on this path and you will do great! BRAVA!

BTW - you look great, too.
