Fiber can help bulk it up to slow down transit.

No it will soak up the liquid and make it solid. With our high protein diets we don't get enough fiber.

I do find this odd though, to go from having zero issues to a chronic situation.. If you haven't changed your diet I would look for another cause. It may be unrelated to the sleeve. Don't just treat your symptoms until you know the cause. I would see your PCP if it continues.

Do you by chance still have your gallbladder? I recently developed a similar situation with just the slightest bit of discomfort (I wouldn't even call it pain) on my upper right side and my surgeon sent me for an ultrasound. Positive for gallstones, surgery is next Thursday.

I started with my surgeon who did ultrasounds and a colonoscopy. When nothing was found, he referred me to a colorectal specialist who did a lot of testing.

In the end the colorectal specialist told me that weight loss surgery can result in loose stools. My high protein diet did not have enough fiber. He had me take two Citruicel fiber tablets in the morning and two at night. The result was like a miracle.

Check it out with your doctor. Changes in bowel function may have nothing at all to do with the sleeve. Could be stress, IBS, or any number of things. Get it checked out.
