weighing myself
I had not weighed myself for some time, as I knew I'd gained weight, Even when I started back on my weight loss eating plan, I just couldn't face the scale. My plan was to wait 2-3 weeks, if not more, to weigh myself. Well, yesterday I knew I had to face the dragon, so I got on the scale. My weight was about what I'd expected, but of course more than what I'd hoped. Instead of feeling discouraged and letting the old fat tapes run in my head and sabotage myself, I accepted where I was at and had a clean day. I weighed again this morning and I was down 2.7 lbs! I certainly know that I won't lose every day, and my weight will flucuate a bit depending on lots of factors. However, I felt good when I saw the scale going down. I also know that if I continue following my plan, then it will continue to go down. Still so grateful that I got back on track before things got even more out of hand! :)
It's great that you're getting back on track! I think this is a great demonstration of why it's important, at least in maintenance, to weigh daily. That way any regain can be addressed before it gets too far out of hand. The scale is your friend - it'll help you to keep on top of things!
