Tailbone pain?

Ok y'all, for over the past month my a$$ has HURT.  Like my tailbone area, is literally being a pain in my butt. Sitting for a while hurts, it REALLY hurts when I get up. It hurts when I sleep in my back/butt. It hurts when I sleep on my side. I have to go have lab work done (my surgeon gets us to do it every time I see him). I'm wondering if I should just make a full appointment and see my regular dr. I've even bought a tailbone pillow, but it still hurts. Any thoughts?

If I was in pain for that long then I would make an appointment with my PCP and have it checked.

Good luck! I hope this resolves soon for you. It doesn't sound fun at all.

It's not. I was just checking to see if this was one of those things that others have and if someone else already knows something that could help I'm willing to do that before I go.

Is it nerve pain.  Like a pinched nerve?

I don't know... Never had anything like that before. It's right where my tailbone is. It even hurts when I cough. :(

I had pain in my hips and butt early on.  Apparently as I was losing weight, it put pressure (or removed pressure) from differnt areas and it caused pain.  after a couple of weeks when I went doen another 10 pounds or so, it went away....almost as quickly as it started.  I went to the dr and they told me is ws common with WLS patients.  Good Luck.

This is really common. Mine still hurts if I sit too long, but not as bad as it did at first.

It's not so much the lack of padding, but the fact that the padding is loose and flopping around. It presses against bones and nerves much different than our old firm padding did.

I have it too, but I have found my pillow does help a lot. I use it religiously: car, work, movie theater, home. Which pillow did you get? I use this one. It doesn't help 100% but it's an improvement.
