Protein shake prep question

I've been using a blender to make my protein shakes but it leaves a thick layer of foam that causes too much gas. Sometimes I scoop it off but fear I'm losing protein and nutrients. Is this just something I need to get used to or is there a better way to prepare them? I sometimes use frozen berries or banana that must be pureed smooth so I need the power of the blender. I also wondered if you get the same problem if using a different appliance like a Magic Bullet? Is there a better way?

I use an immersion (stick) blender and get no air or foam in my shakes.

You can also make your shake and then put it in the fridge for a couple of hours and most of the foam will dissipate.

I use a small personal sized blender and do get some foam.  I just kind of swirl it in the cup and it seems to go away.  It isn't enough to cause me gas pain, I just think it doesn't taste as good.

I don't add fruit to my shakes, because I don't want the extra calories from carbs.  I just shake my powder up with almond milk using a Blender Bottle.  Works like champ.

You might find it best to blend your shake the night before, put it in the fridge in a blender bottle, and just give it a quick shake before drinking the next day.

Too lazy to clean up any of that stuff! Plus, I'd skip the berries. I take a glass, pour in my powder & powdered calcium, and add about 1/4 of the almond milk. I stir it until it's dissolved, then add the rest of the almond milk, and stir some more. Easy peasy. My protein powder dissolves beautifully.
