3 weeks out feel much worse than 2 weeks out - HELP!

Sorry for the cross post, I'm at my wit's end.

The past few nights I've been waking with the worst burning in my stomach.  It's so painful.  I'm sure it's because I'm not eating anything.  I can't.  Nothing tastes good, everything is an effor****er hurts the most.  I was feeling great at 2 weeks, and suddenly this.  I spoke with the nurse at my surgeon's office.  She called in some Carafate which actually works.  The bummer is dissolving it in warm water and drinking it that way (gag).  Tums help a lot too.  This makes me think I must have an ulcer...since these ulcer meds work.  I don't want to live on Tums and Carafate forever.  I thought this healing would be a linear process, you know, every day a little better...but I'm so much worse :(  I had to leave for a business trip last night (back home on Saturday).  The nurse said if I don't feel better when I get home, then the surgeon will probably do some testing for ulcers.  I'm miserable.  Any advice?  Sound familiar anyone?  I'm not throwing up but I think that's because I hardly eat.  I live on sugar free popsicles and saltines.  I had my sleeve 3 weeks ago yesterday and the RNY 3 weeks ago today.  I've lost 23 lbs as of 2 days ago, probably more now.  I can't do this anymore.

There was a kink in my sleeve (still awaiting the hospital report) - I knew immediately when I woke from my sleeve surgery that something wasn't right.  I could hardly breathe.  The surgeon had to go in the next day and since he couldn't fix it, I had to have a RNY.

I'm sorry this is happening.  Could you be dehydrated?  Than can cause a myriad of symptoms.

I hope you feel better soon!  Stay in touch with your doctor.

Gwen - Yes I take omeprezole every morning, it helps a little. Stacy, thank you, yes I'm sure I'm dehydrated.  Going to make some decaf tea now.  Thanks for your support.  xoxo

Some people have better luck with a different PPI - Protonix is mentioned often as one of the stronger ones.  Might be worth asking your doc about!
