Surgery in two days!
It is almost here! I will start the second half of 2014 on July 1st with getting my sleeve! So far on the pre-op diet I've lost 20 pounds over the last 12 days. It is nice to have that jump start! It has only been a fraction of a pound on each if the last two days though, strange. I am excited for the next stage of this journey. It is scary but exciting. I'm just not letting myself thing about the scary part too much. I've really appreciated ready everyone's experiences, both immediately post-op and long term. It helps be feel more prepared. I look forward to joining all of you on the other side soon! Less than 48 hours now! WOO HOO!
Congratulations on the 20 pounds that you lost. Good luck in two days and good luck on your journey to a new you. I'll make room for you on the Losers Bench and see you on the other side on the losers bench.

That is soo great! The weight we lose on the pre op sets us up for better surgery success. By doing the liquids our livers can dump excess fat off and it makes it so much easier for the surgeon to do his work. When the liver shrinks (which is what happens when you do the 2 week pre op fluids) it is easier for the surgeon to work around it to work on the stomach and less change of damage to the liver form it beign nicked etc. Great job!
