1st day...
So today is my first day of my pre-op diet...So far i'm not hungry...which is strange haha I had a premier protein shake this morning...and had an Isopure one for lunch...I can have a small meal for dinner but i need to drink another shake also...
Doctor said 1000 calories a day (No more than 600 cal for the 3 shakes) I need 100 grams of protein a day...July 8th can't come fast enough..
If i can keep it up like today..i think i'll be fine!!
I found the first three days to be the hardest and then it was smooth sailing! My pre-op was 5 shakes a day and nothing else.

I'm on day 2 of my pre-op diet and so far, not too bad. I'm allowed 2 - 3 shakes and 1 or 2 protein bars for breakfast/lunch and then 5oz of lean protein and 2 cups of non-starchy veggies. The hardest part for me has been the no carbonated and /or caffinated beverages. Keep it up, we can get past this.
You got this! Hang in there. The third day seemed to be the hardest for me for some reason. That is when the headache set in for me for a couple of days then I was fine. I wasn't allowed any real food at all, ONLY protein shakes. My VSG was last week so I am newbie. LOL. Try to stay busy. One thing, you can do is get everything ready for your surgery! Get your house in order, and start counting down.
Good luck!
Good luck! I had to do a week of 4 shakes a day. It was rough but so worth it... I lost 15 pounds and my doctor said my liver looked great! For me, the thing that helped the most was staying busy! Weekends were the worst because it wasn't as scheduled. Also trying to space out the timing of your shakes, which it sounds like you are doing, is very helpful.
