Vitamins & Calories oh my!

I am due to start taking my vitamins next week (week 4) and I am supposed to have a complete vitamin (Chewable), Vitamin D (chewable) and a B-Complex with 15 mcg B12 and with 50MG B1. I have all except I could not find a B-complex chewable or liquid. I even looked on Bariatric Advantage and they do not have a B-complex. Did you guys have to take that and where did you find it?

I start puree' foods next week and my caloric intake is suppose to be 200-300 per day including my shake. I drink Premier Protein and that is 160 cal per shake. Does this seem right to you guys?

Thanks!!!!

I can't help with the B-complex chewable or liquid.  But are you SURE about the 200-300 calories per day?   I've never, ever heard of caloric restrictions that low and you are almost a month out!   My surgeon wanted me to be getting at least 45-60 grams of protein by that point and there's no way you can do that with 200-300 calories a day.

Please double check this to make sure they didn't mean 200-300 calories per MEAL (which would admittedly be a bit high!).

I double and triple checked and it is 200-300 cal/day. I think it's absurdly low too!!! I am only to get 20G protein per day until 1 month then I bump it up to 40G/day.

You protein requirements seem dangerously low as well. :|

Seriously, Josh - something is wrong with these numbers.  No other bariatric program in the country that is accredited as a Center of Excellence has these types of recommendations.  I don't typically recommend people go against their doctor's orders....but you might have to because this is NUTS and will negatively impact your health

I get all my vitamins from Target.  Local opinion is the the fancy stuff is over priced without any real difference.

200-300 seems low.  I was in the 400-500 range during that phase.  Even that seemed slim, but not much more was required at the time.

At 4 weeks out, I think I was taking in 300-400 calories. The idea was basically for me to work up to 600-800 calories, with protein 60-80 grams. Did they tell you why they are restricting so low?

I don't take a B-complex, just my B12 along with two multivits, two calcium citrate, Vit D.

I do not believe they make a chewable Vitamin B Complex. I am a pharmacy tech and have never seen 1.

I would worry about the calorie count. I am 10 weeks out and in my Bari Book for the pureed phase had me drinking 60 oz fluid daily, 50-60gms of protein daily, it never really mentioned calories, but there is no way to get the amount of protein in 200-300 calories. I was bale to eat 3 small meals daily with 2 protein powerups in between.

I would talk with your Doctor and voice your concerns. The last thing you need is to not have enough energy and not be able to heal correctly.
