I still have this problem off and on and I am 16 months out.  It didn't help that I recently fell on my tailbone but that is a different story.  What I noticed was that when I lost a lot of weight quickly, I would be sore for a few days and then it would pass.  It was like my body fat/tissue needed to move around a little as the fast weight came off.  I now really don't have a butt at all and can tell in the way that pants fit me.  I tried a bed pillow on my chair at work and that was almost too soft, I then brought a cushion from home that we had on a wooden chair and that seemed to help a lot.  When I recently fell on my tailbone, I went and bought a donut at Walgreens and it has been my saving grace.  It has made all the difference in the world and I wish I had bought it when I first started having problems right after surgery.

I also feel your pain!  I literally go home from work and sit on a heating pad!  Lisa

I've had pain in my backside since hitting about 20lbs down - I think it is simply a lack of padding!
