Yes, after 2 weeks of shakes pre op and going on 2 weeks post op, I developed an aversion to milky protein shakes. I went to GNC and bought a Fruit Punch flavored powder which wound up tasting like fruit punch mixed with milk and I couldn't drink that either. I went back to GNC and got clear Isopure. It comes in 20 oz bottles and had 40 grams of protein per bottle. The flavors are a little much but the mildest tasting as far as I'm concerned is the grape. I don't like the way it smells so I mix some crystal light powder with it to mask the smell.
Sadly it's not uncommon to have significant taste changes post-op. Try other brands? Isopure makes a clear shake that a lot of people like. Syntrax also has a lot of non-traditional flavors that might work for you.
