Question about full feeling

Hi. Surgery yesterday. Passed swallow test-but RAD said stomach looked very swollen. I'm sipping on 1oz medicine cups. With each sip, I feel some back up and feel like I need to burp. And I just puked after slowly drinking about 5 ounces. 

Is this just part of the lurking school?

I had the same thing happen to me I also had a lot of swelling it took me a little over a week to feel better about drinking and I know it feels like you will never be able to drink again but you will. This lasted over a week for me and the burping last for over a month. I personally struggled with fluid intake for a few months but it got way better after a week

Drink even slower than you think is possible. The puking is very likely because you overfilled your sleeve. You should be doing 1 oz every 10 minutes or so... If that doesn't work, try 15 minutes, and so forth. Your sleeve IS very swollen - the majority of it was just cut off for crying out loud ;)

Take it slow. This isn't fullness, this is pushing too hard. You won't feel true fullness until you're on dense solids.

Do your best with the sipping..it took me about three days to really feel comfortable with drinking. I would sip and then do nothing for a few minutes. Dont ru**** gets better as the stomach swelling goes down. 

every sip hurts for me today too.  i am on iv zofran and i have a nausea patch too.  i havent puked but got close a few times.  i feel every sip go in and i have to arch my back to get it to go in.  my swallow study was perfect, but it is slow going.  how is your belly pain today?
