Bad to worse
Yesterday, day of surgery, I had a ton of pain. I still managed to walk a lot and felt better.
This morning - felt excruciating pain and then my incision started bleeding a ton -bright red. Then I got to heave up the contrast.
Ugg. I will keep on....

Keeping my fingers crossed that things improve over the course of the day. Please keep us posted.
And remember, those first few days are not easy. They're not supposed to be though; it is major surgery and we all react differently. Hang in there. We're all pulling for you!

Yeah. That incision broke open. Probably because of a big blood clot in the subcutaneous tissue

Yuck! i had that happen about a day after GB surgery. Couldnt figure why the incisiom wad so tender. Being the nurse that I am, I removed the big bandage to take a look and Holy Cow! Blood poured down my stomach. It was impressive! i managed to stop the bleeding and call the surgeon. Afyer discussing with him, we mutually decided that it was okay to wait until morning. i saw him the next day and everything was fine, just had a little hematoma in the incision line.

The worst thing is the nurses keep backing down I pain meds even though I am still high level pain.they had promised we would be able to work at it but they have abandoned me

If you really think they're ignoring you then ask for a patient care advocate. Do you have a family member with you? Or just call your surgeon's office and ask them to call the nurses station.
