Happy Birthday Dress To Me:)
As promised, I took pictures of myself in my new birthday dress and Vera Wang sweater... CORRECTION: Well, OH is giving me lip every time that I try to upload the picture, but the link is here.
I went out for my birthday tonight with a group of some of my favorite people. We went to my favorite Thai restaurant and I got a Curry soup with shrimp, scallops, squid, and crab. It was de-lish! My friends told the waiter that it was my birthday, and he brought out an enormous bowl of ice cream at the end of the meal. I think I played it off well... When he put the bowl in front of me (with a candle, of course!), I took a teeny bite (come on, it IS my birthday!), then said, "Ok, everybody! Take one down and pass it around!" then sent the bowl around the table for everyone to eat some. When it got back around to me, I just said that I didn't want to "tempt fate" with my lactose intolerance, and let one of the my girlfriends finish the rest. No one questioned it!
This is the first birthday in years that I haven't had a really fancy birthday cake (my best friend and I make/sell cakes as a side business and we always try to out-do each other on birthdays), but I didn't even miss it! Just between me and you lovely VSGers, there was a rather cute boy at this dinner, who I've admired for quite some time, but rarely see. Tonight, he sat next to me and flirted with me the whole night. He even paid for my dinner! I'll take a flirty boy over cake ANY day of the week!
