For the ladies...that time of month
So I am having my first stall since surgery. I will be 3 weeks out tomorrow and I know lots of people have stalls at 3 weeks. I'm intaking 60 grams of protein daily and all my water. But I am about to start my period which I am thinking that could be why I'm stalling. So question for the ladies...when it's that time of month do you not loose or even gain a few pounds due to water weight?
I can retain water like crazy and I don't like it ... last week, I was 6 pounds heavier. I lost 7.5 pounds since then so I'm actually down 1.5 pounds ... yay me! I always gain during TOM but it usually comes off for me within a week. Key for me is not graze or overeat during this time because I feel like a bottomless pit. Sucks for sure but over time, we can learn to deal with it the best we can.

THE KEY IS NOT TO GRAZE.
Yesss!! Amen to that! I have never been a grazer (my weight happened because of WAY over eating), but TOM makes me an eating machine 24/7! You are absolutely right that it is something that we have to be aware of. To the OP: I have found that distraction is the best method for me. Doing something that occupies my mind like crocheting, reading, watching youtube videos (I've recently discovered Rhett&Link ;) ), etc. is the best way to keep me out of the kitchen. Also, purging the house of temptations never hurts!! The rest of the house can just deal with it for a week!!

I was one of the lucky ones that did not have stalls. My weight loss was very consistent. However, every month the week of my period would be the only week that I would not lose a pound.
Don't get discouraged. As long as you are eating right the weight will come off.
