You look wonderful. Obviously worth it. I had my vsg 1/10/14 and am really struggling. I seem to have developed lactose intolerance. Haven't found the right shake yet. Has to be lactose free and sugar free. Eating mostly jello and popsicles (sugar free).  Of course I'm tired all the time. Any suggestions?

You are just 2 weeks out so take it easy and make sure you are staying hydrated.  Being tired is a sign of dehydration so remember to sip sip sip and walk walk walk.  You'll start to gain your strength back in the next couple of weeks.  When you're able to start having food with more substance and you can get more protein in you'll feel so much better.  I didn't have access to the internet while I was home recovering and didn't know about this website.  Everyone I would talk to just kept saying "it will get better" and I would get so mad but I see what they are saying now.  It does get better every day.  As far as the lactose intolerance, a lot of people on here have that problem in the beginning.  I didn't so I can't say what to do in that situation.  Do a search on here and see what others do/did.  Have you tried almond milk or soy milk?  Everyone is different so you will just have to keep trying different things such as temperature or texture to see what agrees with your new tummy.  Good luck and feel free to ask me any questions.  I work at the University of South Alabama in the health system and communicate with our bariatric team regularly so can ask around if I don't have a suggestion.  Good Luck!
