hungry often

I was sleeved on the 16th of last month. Things are going good but I'm hungry pretty often. I've been very careful to eat lots of protien, get my water in and to watch how much I actually consume. I'm eating about 3/4 of food but I'm still hungry in between meals. I'm keeping myself occupied and my mind isn't on food so I don't think it's head hunger. Will it ever go away? I was hoping for no hunger.

Need more specifics:

(1) What stage are you in currently,

(2) What does "getting my water in" mean in ounces per day

(3) What foods are you eating daily, i.e. what does "lots of protein" mean

etc.....

However, in general it gets better as you move from the liquids phase back to solids.  You mind plays tricks on you until you start getting a belly full of quality solid food stuff.

How many calories are you consuming per day? Also, are you drinking protien shakes still? I know every program is different, but mine allows you to drink shakes as smacks if you're still hungry.

check out my blog!

I have not been counting calories because I was told not to focus on that but to focus on protein. I did start a log yesterday and it was right at 800 calories. I do drink protein shakes to supplement if I ate something that doesnt contain a lot of protein or at night if I'm hungry and want something sweet

Could be acid, it often mimics hunger.  If you are not on a PPI (acid reducer) like Zantac ask your surgeon

I drank a few mugs of lower sodium broth during weeks 2-6 post op when I had that hungry feeling. It upped my fluids for the day and the savory taste satisfied the desire to have something going on in my stomach.  I didn't truly hit the "meh, not really hungry, totally satisfied with 3oz of protein" phase until 7 weeks post op when I began to feel true saiety and restriction.

I have the same problem and I'm 4 months out.  I think it just varies from person to person.  I'm not one of the lucky ones who is never hungry.
