Postop question

I'm only 3 days postop...I was feeling much better today, until I started feeling very lightheaded, and have an sort of rushing sensation in my head, almost like the feeling you would get right before you pass out....except this is constant. It's exhausting...and it isn't from pain meds because I stopped those at 3am because I didn't like how they made me feel.

Any ideas? It's very frustrating...I really just want to be recovered from this and getting back to my routines....

Think about how few calories you are getting a day... 400? It's REALLY common to have ZERO energy immediately post op. Take it easy. I'm 6 months out and still have moments where I get a head rush and have to just stop and bend over for a second to get blood flowing back into my brain! When you feel this way, DON'T try to just push through it. You very well COULD pass out!

Take care of yourself! It only get's better from here out!

Here are the most common culprits...

1.  Dehydration... yep, that will do it to you.

2.  Meds need adjusting.  If you are taking meds for blood sugar or high blood pressure in particular.

3.  Low blood sugar (not from meds).  If you feel better about 15 minutes or so after eating this could be the culprit... I am hypoglycemic and 4 ounces of milk makes a noticeable difference.

1. Definitely not dehydrated....pee is nearly clear!

2. Not on any meds with the exception of Liquid tylenol...

3. I am curious about this...but it would mean going off my surgeon's plan to test it...I'm not even allowed protein shakes until Saturday...I'm 5 days of tea/crystal ligh****er :-(

I'm just going to keep sipping, get more rest and hope it passes...

I had one Isopure a day, it really took me out of the foggy feeling, it is a clear liquid that has 40 grams of protein.
