Forget To Eat?

This has happened to me several times in the last week or so. I'm in my 6th month and I've noticed over the last 4-6 weeks that I have to make sure that I stay on an eating schedule or I will end up not eating (or drinking!) between my morning shake and dinner. THEN, I realize that I haven't eaten and end up eating too fast and overeating by a bite or two and have to deal with the inevitable discomfort.

I'm wondering if it has anything to do with my reflux symptoms or my new PPI... I'm going to have to ask my surgeon about this when I see him again in a few weeks.

What is your experience? Do different PPIs change your eating habits? Do you FORGET to EAT?

Hey Chrissy, I emailed you on here, but we don't see when we have messages anymore, so you may not know yet.  Did you find out anything about the Gastroparesis?  Thanks

Yes, I do forget to eat sometimes, or I get busy and don't have time to eat. I end up over-hungry.  Then I eat too fast, and the late meal doesn't satisfy me, so it really throws me off.  I do much better if I keep to a schedule.  Can't speak to the reflux - as I don't have problems with that.

Best of luck with your weight loss journey,

Carol

It works if you work it; it sorta works if you sorta work it; and it doesn't work if you don't work it.

Gosh you lucky thing you!!!! I can't imagine ever actually forgetting about food...if I am busy I can forego for a long time now as I have no hunger, but I am always thinking about it. So forgetting to eat is like a sweet dream! My life i*****tuated by activities that all revolve around food or cooking or shopping (for food)! Little wonder I needed WLS!! Its a daily battle.
