I'm APPROVED!

FINALLY, FINALLY FINALLY! Its been 5 weeks!! A month had passed since i had seen the nurse who went over my paperwork and told me I was ready to submit for approval. I did not want to bother them and trusted that they would do their job (can you see where this is going) and a month went by until the coordinator called me telling me they did not have my upper gi. So I faxed it myself, waited a week then called to confirm they received it. He called me last thursday saying he Just got it and would be submitting for approval...  I got that life changing 10 minute call today!!!!!!!!!! Finally.   

So don't do as i did, BE a pain in the butt and Call them!

My surgery will be November 20. I'll be spending my 21st birthday (nov 11) drinking protein shakes lol 

I'm really happy I stuck with it, the 6 month diet, the tests, the waiting- a whole 9 months since attending the info seminar. 

Food funerals here I come!

Congrats!! That's such a stressful wait! I got my approval last week and have my VSG scheduled for Nov 6th! Good luck to you!!!

I hear you! I feel like I'm being a pest but I just need my surgeons office to appeal my denial! I've called, emailed and if I have to go to their office, I wil!

I was submitted to Aetna on 10/14, they asked for additional information on 10/21 which was sent that day. They didn't upload it to their system until 10/24. I call every day but I still waiting......
