Hello all! As of today I have lost a total of 64 lbs since starting my pre-op experience in March. I have lost about 39 lbs since surgery give or take a few lbs I gained from surgery.....I have also lost 22inches since I started taking measurements in May. My BMI has decreased 10 points since March also. When I went for my surgical follow-up a few weeks ago I thought he would be disappointed w my slow loss but he said that I right where I should be! And my labs were fine...no deficiencies at all! He said he doesn't encourage people to lose 100lbs in 3 months(but I would have loved it!). I went to my primary doctor last week for a physical and she removed 3 co-morbid conditions off of my profile!! Hypertension, high cholesterol, and pre-diabetes.....I have been off of my BP med since the week of surgery.....I finally joined a gym w a heated pool, I do aqua Zumba 1x a week and then go 2-3 times in addition to that and do my own routine of water walking, water jogging, water bicycle w a noodle and work w styrofoam dumb bells in the water....maybe in a few months I will get the nerve up to actually work out in the gym...another plus is my job reimburses up to $35/month for gym membership, and the gym owner gave me a discount for having bariatric surgery, I only pay $29/month....I attempted to post before & after pics in my profile...I have only noticed subtle changes so far...I can now feel some ribs when I lay down.....well off to bed to read...thank you for listening!
