I posted this in another forum;
I am just starting the Process with Kaiser. I am going to a "getting prepared" class tomorrow afternoon, which i understand is the first step. Its free to members and i didn't need a referral. I just needed to call and register. My question, which may get answered tomorrow is "now what?". Do they hook u up with a surgeon and go from there? Or do i need to go back to my primary? Also someone please tell me what a "NUT"is? Reading abbreviated words and not knowing what they mean is like reading another language. Thank you

NUT = nutritionist. They get that loving name because they tend to be a wee bit nuts too... at least mine was. :)

I guess I'm one of the few who hasn't seen a NUT - Dr. Davidson has a dietitian, and they are real quick to tell you they are NOT a nutritionist! LoL

I did see a NUT about seventeen years ago. There was a lady who'd come set up shop at a local Baptist Church, once a week. She did a booming business, we women FLOCKED to see her. Arlene's big thing was what foods you should eat together. If you are eating chicken one day, no other meat.....I don't remember much from it, but of course, I lost weight......and as soon as I stopped going, I re-gained weight! Oh well, live and learn!
