My before and after pic (Surgery 4/24/13)
Okay so I'm 11 weeks post op and finally took a picture of myself to compare to my before picture. To be honest I didn't see much of a change when I'd see myself in the mirror every morning as I got ready for work, but noticed my clothes fitting lose and of course the scale numbers going down.
So I decided to compare my college graduation picture (pre-op) with a current picture taken yesterday ...my chipmunk cheeks are practically gone! I'm not too happy about my receding hairline, which doesn't help my big forehead but that's okay...it's temporary (I hope) and I will either cut some bangs or get layers later on. For once I feel like I look decent in a picture. Best decision ever was to get the sleeve!! Woohoo!!
Thank you! Seeing the pictures really keeps me motivated to continue working hard to reach my goal. When I've lost weight before, my face is the first to look thinner...my body takes a little longer, but I'm happy with the difference now and can't wait to see what I'll look like 6 months from now. :)
I had my surgery Monday. Monday was probably the worst day in terms of pain. Yesterday was pretty okay until they pulled the JP drain out, and then I seriously thought I was going to pass out and die, the pain was that intense.
Today the gas pain has been a real booger. I've been walking and burping and sipping, and it still plagues me! I hope that in the next few days it dissipates.
Good luck with your upcoming surgery!

Thankfully, my surgery and recover went really well. I had surgery on a Wednesday and was back to work that following Monday. Although I never really did get a lot of pain, the second day was the most uncomfortable for me but with a heating pad and lots of rest I felt a whole lot better the next day. Each day got better and better. I never had any gas pain or any other issues.
