I have no idea why. I had protein coffee for breakfast, a protein shake before lunch (syntrax iced tea) 1/2 cup of soup, and a FF pudding already today and I'm just sitting here thinking about food. I mean to the point of distraction. Like before surgery. I wonder if this head hunger. I wonder if I need fuller liquids than I've had to day. Hmmmmm I've had 40 oz of water too, and 51g of protein already. Argh. Suggestions? What do you do when the growly tummy hits you? (Or am I totally weird?)

Can you eat veggies yet?  Try a cup of hot tea with unsweetened almond milk?  Go for a walk?  Drink more?

Those are all the suggestions I have. :)

I totally feel your pain.  I am on the 24 hour clear liquids phase pre op.  I'm sorry, I am certain that the surgeons hate us and want us to suffer wink

Are you on a PPI like Prilosec?  Reflux might be to blame if not!

before surgery I was like that, I watched food porn (  food channel ) every time I turned the tv on....  now after surgery I find when I am around certain times of the month I want to eat and munch all day,  so I try to eat salad as an extra treat ,  sometimes I give into my weakness but trying hard not too.  also I found when I work out hard with my trainer I am super starving and it takes awhile for that to subside after the workout .....     keep focused and praying for you

It sounds like a case of head hunger to me! I try to drink a lot of water when this happens. Like make it your goal to finish a Nalgene bottle of water. Something like that. Also, the hot tea suggestion always works for me. Or coffee, but it's probably too soon for you to have caffeine.

Head hunger was worse for me in the first month. Now it's much easier to deal with and it happens less frequently. So hang in there. It gets better!

So funny, when I was home the first couple weeks I watched ALOT of the food network, specifically CHOPPED.  I think I was trying to torture myself.

Drink, drink drink.  Your tummy is in rebellion because of the surgery.  It is angry and talking to you,

Anne
