Distorted Tattoo's From Weight Loss??

Haven't gotten my surgery date yet but was wondering about tattoo's and how they look after so much weight loss.  I have one on my left lateral calf. I don't think it will change in that area.  It's the only one I have and not willing to give it up! It's in honor of my ten year old son who has Autism.  Just wondering......

My guess would be it depends on the location of the tattoo.  I have a piece on my upperback and it hasn't changed.  I also have a piece on the inside of my left wrist which is fine.  I have no belly tattoos which is where my body has changed the most.  In short, I think your leg piece will be fine.

I have only one, on lower center back, I think it looks the same to me, even after a 100+ weight loss. But maybe there is not much fat there, in general.

I have 3 tattoos.  I'm down 50 pounds and none of them have gotten distorted.

I am pretty covered- chest piece, shoulder pieces, working on full sleeves...

I am almost down 50, and have not noticed a change yet.  My artist and I are avoiding the under arm area until I hit goal and we will see where my skin is at.  I don't think a tattoo would change too much on the calf.  If it does, go to an experienced artist and see what they can do

Good luck!

The one on my shoulder use to be a nice round circle and now its oval shape. All my others are fine.

I'm still pre-op but I have 15 and I'm thinking that once I lose 115lb and get to goal they'll still look pretty good. Some may be a little bit smaller but I don't think it will change much. BTW: my 3 year old son has autism and in addition to his birth footprints and portrait, I also have an autism awareness tattoo. :-)
