Resting and recovering is exactly what you need to be about now, keep it up- get your strength back, and continue on.  I am reminde of the verse that says, what is intended for bad, God will make good for thse who love him.  You are right that this can be a character building time for you.  I pray strength and hope and courage upon you.  And health, of course.  A new esophagus, eh?  Just wow.  We live in amazing times, filled with wonder.  Hang in there, babe.  You can do this!  Heck, you already are.  bonnie

 TOTAL POUNDS LOST- 200 (110 pounds lost before surgery, 90 pounds lost Post Op.diabetes in remission-blood pressure normal-cholesterol and triglyceride levels normal!  BMI from 55.6  supermorbidly obese to 23.6  normal!!!!
