Quest Bar "Training Treats"

If you've trained a dog, you've probably cut up dog treats into little pieces as a training reward.  How is this related to VSG?  I cut up my first Quest bars into little cubes to have around while I was preparing for yet another sugar, carb, fat, wonderfully delicious food event at my church.

They looked just like dog treats, especially after I put them in little snack bags, just like I do dog treats!

Oh well!  I just tried not to think of them as food rewards for avoiding all my favorite southern desserts! Whatever works, right?

I just bought them yesterday for the first time.
I had to throw them out. Horrible taste!

LOL -- I worried that I would accidentally pick up the wrong baggie and actually eat a dog treat!  I had pieces of cinnamon roll, brownie and PB/Chocolate.  The brownie was OK - the other two were more like dog treats!

My "treat" when I have a batch of baking to do is a measured spoonful of peanut butter that I take a lick of every once in awhile. It has enough flavour that it distracts me from what I secretly want to do. (Eat ALL the cookie dough!)

I'm pretty much always under my fat allotment for the day, so it's a totally allowed "treat."

If peanut butter isn't doing it for me I count out 3-5 sugarless candies and make 'em last...

Good for you that you're able to portion out small bites and be satisfied. I eat a Quest bar and I find it so difficult to eat it slowly and to stop after only one.

The apple pie flavor especially has me whipped. :-(
