Hi,

I'm 5'4" and weigh 216 lbs. I'll be getting the sleeve next month and am hoping to see profiles of those who are similar to my weight and height. This will give me a realistic idea of what I can look like in about a year from  now. Can't wait to gain my life back and be a new healthier me!

Hi Breaza,

I was 217 when I started my options classes through Kaiser. I was 191 the day of surgery. I am now 145 with about 5 pounds to go to my personal goal. I am 6 months out. The first 26 pounds took a few months while I was pre-op, the rest has been after. There is also a message board for those of us who are considered "lightweights" which has also been helpful to me. I post on both the VSG & the LW board. Please keep in mind, everyone is different and your experience will be unique to you. However, we are all here to help you along the way.

I started out at 240 and was 224 the day of surgery. I'm about 13 lbs away from my surgeon's goal. I had mine done on December 10, 2012. I'm a pretty slow loser, due to my PCOS and the fact that I was considered a light weight. I'm 5'5". :)

So in 3 months you've lost around 46 lbs? That's GREAT! I would never imagine being able to lose that much weight in such a short amount of time. I've been struggling for 5 years to lose just 20 lbs. :) Can't wait to see my numbers on the scale go down.

It's a wonderful feeling and seeing the changes! I wish you all the best and look forward to seeing you on the loser's bench!

I am 5'3" and weigh approximately 200 lbs. right now. The date of my surgery was set today for June 4th. I also visit the lightweights board. Lots of interesting info out there for us! Good luck to you.
