My hair is falling out soooo badly! Is there anything I can do? or is this just one of those "bad" side effects?

How much protein are you getting in everyday? You need between 60-90 grams a day, and I'd go the upper end to limit hair loss.

Nothing you can do but wait it out.  I get more than 90 g of protein per day (usually more than 100), drink 100 oz of water, take all my vits and mine is falling out too.  It's just part of the process...

Thanks! I always can work on my protein but (not complaining) it is soooo hard for me I makes me sick and my tummy hurt. So I so my best.

All you can do is meet protein goal each day, take 5,000mg Biotin and hope for good heredity. It is what it is. My NUT said you need to be on the Biotin 2-3 months before the hair-loss stage and hope for the best. I've been taking it for a year pre-surgery and every day since. Fingers crossed.

Nothing will stop this happening. No amount of protein or any other supplement. The shock of surgery and weight loss causes it. Read up on Telogen Effluvium.

I take 1000mg Biotin every day, but this will not stop it. The biotin will just help with the growth of the new hair coming through.

I have just vacuumed my bedroom at the weekend and had to cut my fallen hair off the vacuum roller as there was so much of it wrapped around Im surprised it still turned! Mine started falling out about 4 weeks ago. I lose a big handful every morning. Between me and the cat, there is hair everywhere!...lol

Rest assured, it will grow back
