I am just wondering if there is a October 2012 group. It seems we are different depending on how far we are in our journey and wanted to chat with ones that are about where I am.

I was sleeved 10/23 and have lost 30lbs. I am very happy with my weight loss but I am struggling with several things... Getting enough protein/fluids, getting enough calories, establishing a workout routine, dealing with loose skin, finding foods that I enjoy and don't hurt my stomach and then trying to rotate them often enough to not burn myself out on the few things I can tolerate.. Not all sunshine and puppies but I never thought it would be, just happy the good out weighs the bad by far!!wink

I'm October 24th, I'm currently down 40 pounds.  I've had no issues with anything expect kicking my old eating habits. My stomach accepts everything, happily lol.

Hi,

I had my VSG on Oct 2. I still have great restriction... a bit of a struggle getting my water in... but I am doing the best I can. I am 50 lost since my surgery and 69 since pre-op. I stalled for two weeks just in the past few weeks BUT in the past couple of days... dropped a quick 5 pounds. I just keep working the sleeve... even in a stall.

I know this sounds odd... I am 43 and I am embracing the sagging skin... I have been so big for so long.. the skin to me... shows me how far I have come, I see the sagging skin as my badge of honour and it serves as a reminder to never fill the excess, EVER AGAIN!

Thanks for the Reply's! I had my surgery on the 29 of October.  Since Surgery I have lost 27 lbs and pre op 39 lbs. I am doing pretty good right now I feel like I am just trying to make it through the holidays! I pretty much am like the rest of you I have a hard time getting my liquid in and my protein. I am trying to figure out the exercise thing ( not going so well ). but today I ate some mushrooms and they made me soooo sick weird. I also feel like I wake up every morning with morning sickness ( I PROMISE I AM NOT!) but just a sick tummy feeling not sure why.

You guys are all doing so great! I hope we can keep  in touch!

10/25: sw 300...cw 266. Having trouble getting in prot and fluids. Get full quickly, and there aren't enough hours in the day! Tolerating most foods well, other than eggs, dairy, coffee, and meats if too dense. Not exercising :( Other than walking the dog. Need to work on that!!
