Weight loss helped find breast lesion
Had my yearly mammogram 2 weeks ago. It was abnormal. Yesterday I had a digital mammography, CT scan and ultrasound of my breasts. There is a suspicious lesion in my left breast which I need to get biopsied next week. Why am I telling you all of this? Because I am 142 lbs smaller than I was at my last mammogram. The radiologist said that this lesion may very well have been on previous mammograms but unable to be seen due to my very large and dense breasts. Now that I am so much smaller, they were able to see and identify it right away. The doctor said more than likely that my VSG saved my life. I'd appreciate any prayers as I am a wreck right now.

I am sending prayers up right now. I know you must be anxious and upset right now. Thank God for your weight loss and that this was detected now rather than never. Hold onto the belief that this is benign. God's peace be with you. I will ask for prayer for you at church also.
