Aromas

Since surgery I can smell EVERYTHING. Is this normal? I all of the sudden am craving food that I don't even care for. I just want one French fry! Lol but I'm going to refrain and sip on this yummy broth instead. 

Very normal.  Remember that hormones are stored in fat, and as we burn the fat the hormones are release.  We end up with crazy symptoms - a lot like pregnant women - like heightened sense of smell, moodiness, and other things.  It will even out with time!

Thank goodness it will level out. All this temptation is killing me right now. I am however thankful that I haven't had too much pain or nausea. Oh and no moodiness. I've been surprisingly calm and patient. I have an amazing support system within my home though, so I'm sure that's helping a lot. I have my mom here who is doing an amazing job of cooking for my family while I'm down for the count food wise. Prob is moms cooking is the best and I can smell every thing she makes a little too well. 

I'm this exact same way. My wife had one of the big sandwiches you get at Wal-Mart by the deli, and she just added some creamy Italian dressing to it and I could smell it across the room. It smelled like a gourmet Italian sandwich and I wanted it so bad! Then I got to look down at my bowl of broth. I was sleeved on 11/7 and I can go to purred foods 11/21. I cannot wait. 

Ben I was also sleeved on 11/7. I have puréed foods already dated on my calendar for the 21st also. I've been dreaming of some retried beans blended with chicken and cheese on top! Mmm Mmm mmmm

11/6 - and I am waiting (and not terribly patiently sometimes) for refried beans myself, yep.
