Stall, UTI, 2 weeks post-op, YAY?!

I am exactly 2 weeks post op today and for the past 3 days my scale hasn't budged. I also was diagnosed with a UTI this morning. Any women get one of these after surgery? They say it has something to do with the decreased fluids. They put me on liquid Keflex for 7 days. I did make it through my 4yr olds Halloween party at pre-school today. Wasn't sure i had the strength, but I made it! Just kept sipping my protein shake the whole time. I just have to show off my cute little Angry Bird!

Anytime I've had any type of infection or illness my weight loss stops... especially when I have to take antibiotics...

I think  we might  be  sleeve buddies!  I actually  had a UTI as well  Diagnosed last Thursday AND I have been  stuck at the  same number for a  week.  We might actually be sleeve twins! lol  I am  hoping the  antibiotics are the  culprit.  I have been  going through this whole "Why did I do the  surgery for 12 pounds?" mentality.  Hopefully the  scale will start moving again!

 

Ugh.  I had one too.  And my scale didn't move between Friday and monday at all.. But then this morning, I hopped on, and I'm down 4.5 lbs overnight.  So I guess my body will give it up when it's ready, and not a moment sooner.

 

 

I had a UTI at about 3 weeks post op. My blood sugar levels were elevated with it and my weight loss slowed. Drink up and keep on your plan, you WILL start losing again.

 

 

I realize this is an old thread, but I, too, got a UTI and have big taking 4 GIANT Keflex capsules per day for the past 5. I wish, wish, wish I had asked for a liquid form - these are super annoying and they make me nauseous. Stinkin' E.R. doc wouldn't listen to me.
I too had elevated blood sugar and am in a stall only two weeks out.

Boo.
