Shopping is frustrating not fun

After years of being limited to where I could shop to find clothes to fit me, here I am 80lbs lighter and I can't find ****! I'm in a size that I should be able to walk into any store and find stuff but no, everything is so damn form fitting that it hugs all my fat/excess skin! Finding jeans hasn't been a problem (thankfully!) but I honestly only have about 6 shirts that I like the way I look in them and 5 of them are short sleeves. It's going to be cold before we know it so I need warmer things. I have been everywhere and can not find anything that fits right that's long sleeved. I don't want to wear oversized stuff since I've done that all my life so going up a size is not the way to go. I can't believe that shopping for me was easier when I was a 20/22 and not an 8!

Just had to vent! Anyone else having problems?

I've been lucky so far - everything is fitting pretty ok.  Since I'm still losing I don't try to get things to fit perfect - I know that I won't be in them long.  Eddie Bauer has been good to me this year - lots of long sleeve stuff - but not very sexy.

Good luck finding stuff that makes you feel gorgeous!!!

Lucky you! I'll check out Eddie Bauer. I'm not looking for sexy just something that looks decent so thanks!

Me me me....I hate shopping. My issue is sizing, I have no clue as to what size to get because I buy things that are too small so I can shrink into them and within a few weeks they are too big. I went from a 22  to an 8-10. Another issue I'm having is that I hate the ways things are labeled, skinny low, modern, curvy. No one size is consistent, in one brand i may wear a10 and others an 8. I'm with you...all of my shirts are short sleeve also

I try to buy stuff that's a little snug too so I can wear them for awhile. I'm ok w/ the labeling now that I know which shape I am but it is annoying that sizes are not consistant between stores.

Maybe just get some form-fitted long-sleeved shirts to wear under your regular shirts?

I am in a weird size also. In between L/XL b/c I still have boobs but the arm holes are huge. The layered shirts look great on us. Look for rouching. (is that how you spell it? )

Maybe look in a junior's plus size in the sense that the cut will be a little more curvy but the clothes are much trendier and smaller at the same time.

Maybe I'll try the layering thing. I never did it in the past because I would be too hot but now that I lost weight, maybe it will work. Thanks for the idea!

sometimes i feel the same way.  my body fits in a medium, my arms need a large.  very frustrating.  have to look for mediums with very loose sleeves, even then may not work.  love sweatshirts but cna't wear them to work!

I'm the same. A lot of tops are too tight in the arms still but if I go up a size, the body is too big. Thankfully, I don't need work clothes so I can live in t-shirts and sweatshirts if I choose. It's just now that I'm smaller, I want to dressa little cuter. Good luck to you!
