Protein Peanut Butter Cups

I got this recipe from OH (?Alison) and I made it today and if you crave chocolate like I do, you'll enjoy it!

1 scoop of Unjury Chocolate Splendor protein powder
4 splenda
4 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder (I used diet Swiss Miss)
2 tbsp.  PB2
4 oz water

Mix all ingredients together till smooth.  Put in 2 (3 oz) containers and freeze



Stats:

calories:  110  carb  13  Protein  16

A little high in carbs for my liking, but still way better than a Quest bar, which I would normally have

How long does it take to freeze?? And what's the consistency like...im making this when i get home instead of a shake!

Took about 2 hours to freeze--maybe less, I wasn't paying attention. Consistency is like a fudgsicle. I froze them in individual lock and lock containers but you can also use silicone muffin tins (which I don't have),
Alison, if you have the chocolate Cellucor that will significantly amp up your protein stats

I really dont need to amp up my protein - i need to cut back if anything. But, I'll never say no to a good protein snack :)

 i made SF rasberry/chocolate tonight - i blended it with ice and then froze it  - made it a weird sorbet type texture. Will try without blending tomorrow :)

 If you want to thicken them and reduce the carbs replace the PB2 with Something like Walden Farms, replace the Swiss Miss with real cocoa powder with something like flaxseed meal, almond meal, or some other non-graon meal.  It will cut down on the chocolate taste - but will thicken it nicely without adding carbs.

That will also cut down the calories.  You are getting 45 calories from the PB2 and 40 from the cocoa.  The flaxseed will also have a nutty taste, but not peanutty taste.  You can enhance that taste by toasting it first.  Same with the almond meal, the almond meal will add more calories.

Flaxseed meal is my go-to ingredient for flour replacements in the low cal, low carb meals.
