Can you give us an example of what you are eating throughout the day?

Also, are you taking a PPI?

I'm physically not hungry, but my head hunger has taken over. I crave food all day long!

A couple things...

It can take awhile for the hunger hormone to be purged out of your body. In some people, it never leaves because enough of it is produced elsewhere.

Stomach acid can mimic hunger, so a PPI can help with this.

Eating carbs can cause a constant hunger cycle. If you haven't detoxed from carbs, then doing so may help. Keeping carbs below 40 a day in carb-sensitive patients can help them break the carb-craving cycle.

Hope this helps.

I've struggled with a bad case of head hunger for awhile now.  Could that be what you are struggling with?  I've yet to have a real hunger pain since surgery, I just have days where I want to eat all day.  I've found that dehydration can also present itself as hunger.  I try to drink water instead of eating, maybe that will help you too.

I am eating 3 meals (10+ grams of protein) a day and I get full at each meal.  I wait at least 30 mins (usually a little longer) and then I drink my Crystal Light in between.  Today I even added unflavored protein to my Crystal Light hoping that would help.  I did forget to take my acid reducer until you mentioned it though.  But this is happening every day, not just today.

So are you saying you are only getting in about 30 grams of protien per day? What do your calories look like? How about carbs? Are you tracking? A PPI can also take time to do it's job, and if you are not taking a perscription strentght every day it might not be doing what it needs to do to keep your "hunger" under control.

so you are only getting about 30g of protein a day? You should get 60 MINIMUM and 64 oz of liquids ...that could be it as well..up your protein and water..also, what are you doing for exercise? I find that helps with head hunger

I get 30 g of protein from my morning shake plus the 30 g from my meals and today I added another 27 g in my Crystal Light.  I am having a hard time getting 60 oz of fluids though.  Usually getting at least 40 though.  I have cut out the carbs.  Today I've only had 30g so far and still have 1 meal to go.  I do take the prescription PPI everyday.

That sounds better :). Getting to 64 ounces of fluid will take some time.  Maybe try increasing your PPI?
