Hit hard with 1st Trigger situation.

5 1/2 weeks out & hit hard with my 1st Trigger situation.  Sunday afternoon, found myself alone and watching a cheesy movie on TV.  BAM! My gray area said, "Eat, eat something, anything.  You should eat!".  Scared the crap out of me, kinda like thinking you are in the same room with a ghost, thinking.  I recognized it as head hunger, or a trigger situation and chose to drink crystal light.  But even though I should have expected it, it took me by surprise.  Guess I should have had brain surgery rather than belly surgery.

great job on recognizing the trigger, though, and recognizing head hunger!
and woohoooo on choosing crystal light instead.

Yes - those brain triggers are a battle to overcome.   Identifying your enemy situations (like boredom watching tv) and plan how you will handle them.   That's why I use some books like Emotional First Aid for Weight Loss and the one called "Eat It Up" which are about the psychological aspects of our journey.

Thank you. I will check these out.  I am trying to use the Beck Diet Solution, which is really cognative behavior therapy.

Good suggestions. I'll have a look for those books.
