Dumb question of the day

I am currently on 2 weeks of purees.  Does 3 oz of  pureed chicken have the same amount of protein as non-pureed chicken?  How much protein is in 3 oz. of chicken?
Thanks everyone!!

breast or thigh, those are a bit different.

Did you take 3 ounces of chicken and puree it?  Should be same same unless you left huge amounts on the pureeing vessel.

Yes, I took a chicken breast, boiled it, pureed it and then separated it into 3 oz. containers

I think you left the "my" out of your website suggestion. I am thinking you meant www.myfitnesspal.com, yes?

Puree should not have any impact on the protein contest.

3.5oz has about 30grams, so a little less than that.

Have you tried chicken yet? I was only about to eat about an oz of chicken last night.

I just started purees on Wed.  I had surgery on 9-13-11.  I can tolerate 3 oz. of the pureed chicken (it's VERY thin-almost liquid consistency).  It really fills me.  I have that twice a day which really amps up my protein intake.
