I took a week off, but could easily have gone back to my office job after two days.

I'm almost a week out and pretty much back to normal as far as light activities go.

That will depend on whether your revision is done open or laproscopic .  If it's open surgery, you won't feel like going back to work in a week.

I'm three days out right now and feeling better everyday.  I am planning on going back on Tuesday for an office day than back on the road Wednesday.

I took 3 weeks off and absolutely needed the first two. I could have gone back at the 3rd, but I'm glad I didn't.

I also took three weeks off.  I could have gone back after two, but I developed hives the third week (from God knows what), so it's just as well I'd planned for three - I would have ended up taking off three weeks anyway.

The recovery-time answers might vary depending on health condition, age, size, type of surgery, complications, type of job, support at home, and tolerance levels.  At age 52, I was more tired than in pain taking two long naps per day for about two-three weeks.  A twelve-hour shift, sedentary or not, sounds like a lot but then you have your first WLS as a gauge.  Please keep in mind the recommendation to move often for blood-clot prevention. All the Best, tracy O.
