A pound a week is fine.

As you get closer to your "ideal" weight, your weight loss will slow down.

If you want it to go faster, you are going to have to eat even less and/or work out more.

It sounds like you're doing great! Since I'm only six weeks post-op, I can't speak from experience, but I've watched others on this forum, and it looks like you're right on track. Keep up the good work!

Hey!  I finally got my act together and figured out how to upload photos. I am including this to show you HOW SLOW the weight loss was as I approached my final weight. You can tell that by the slope of the line which is ALMOST STRAIGHT towards the right hand side of the chart.

I dont know whether to say " I hope this comforts you" or "I hope this scares the hell out of you..."  [Tee hee...that is a joke]. The last few pounds are kind of tough and I even had a few bumps UP in weight.

Best wishes!

You're doing great.   Just keep following your drs diet and make sure you add some exercise.  From your pix, I would think we are "of an age."  I am 59 and we might lose at a different weight from someone younger, but a good exercise program including weight training will help us stay healthy over the next 20 to 30 years.
