Prior to surgery I used Advil any time that I had pain. It was very effective.

lately I have so much muscle pain. Tylenol isn't doing anything to help. And now I have an earache.

what do you take that helps pain? I'm getting desperate. Even used my essential oils.

Only Tylenol. You may need to talk with your doctor to get other options.

Tylenol, herbal stuff, or narcotics.

For muscle pain - hot shower, hot bath, acupuncture... Sport creams for muscles - menthol.....Etc...

Since I can't take NSAIDs and really shouldn't be taking Tylenol (due to elevated liver enzymes), I take Tramadol (you'll need an rx) for menstrual cramps or body aches.  I also use biofreeze (thanks White Dove for the suggestion) for muscle soreness/ mild arthritis.

I use Biofreeze for muscle aches and pain or salonpas patches, or I just tough it out until I can get to the chiropractor.  He always puts me back into place and I'm all better until next time.  Tylenol doesn't touch my pain so I don't even bother.

I use  Biofreeze too and love it! Discovered it years ago when I had my knees replaced.

I'm glad others added about not taking too much Tylenol. Your liver is pretty stressed out with all the weight you are losing. Tylenol is cleared out by the liver.

I like acupuncture and hot tubs.

I was told only Tylenol, but I hate taking pills now since surgery so I have been trying to just deal with the pain.  My pain is mostly my knees and back.  I know the pain will ease up as I lose weight.  I do still take Tylenol every couple days when it gets bad.  I was an Exedrine junkie before surgery so this is a lot to get used to.

I'm going to have to check out this biofreeze.
