I haven't been cold, but then I'm always hot, I think it's a menopause thing.  Are you sure you don't have a fever?

I was the same. Pre op I was always drenched in sweat.  From the time I was in the hospital until I started eating real food and getting all my vitamins in (about 2 months) I was FREEZING and couldn't warm up.

It will level back out.  I get cold easier now (almost 9 months out,  almost at goal!) But I'm not freezing or burning up all the time.  I feel "normal" now.  You'll get there!

Hi Teio, its totally normal.  I like you was a furnace pre surgery, short short sleeves in middle of winter and maybe a hoodie, never a winter jacket LOL LOL  Well since surgery I am still COLD, and I am 2 years  and 5 months post op and I can't get warmed up.  I sleep with layers on, I always have socks & slippers on in the house, usually one t-shirt and a sweater or hoodie and you will usually find me with a cup of hot coffee or tea in my hand.  So yes its a WLS thing.  Its a great side effect in my opinion. I don't mind putting more clothes on when I am cold but hated it when I was sweating and was down to my last layer and had nothing more to take off LOL LOL LOL

Enjoy the cold feeling for a change!

Yes, it's pretty common. It's a hormonal change, similar to way diabetes can go into remission, over night. I don't know what percentage of people get it, but it's a lot.

Like Daisy and Grim I have been cold ever since surgery. I am not quite 4 years out but was always sweating before surgery. Part of it I'm sure is the 150 pounds of insulation I have lost!

Normal.

Shocking for me.

I used to run the A/C when it was 60 degrees outside.  I never wore a coat --- even in the snow.  I was always hot -- often sweaty.  From about a week out of surgery until today -- I am one of those annoying cold people.  I never sweat now.  Seriously.

I was freezing after surgery.  It actually didn't start right away for me.  It was summer when I had surgery, so that may be a factor.  But, as soon as fall hit, I couldn't get warm.  I eventually got used to it, and I feel "normal" now.  But, it is so nice not to be hot all the time!!  Enjoy the breeze!!
