Great news. Surgery went well. Textbook they said. No complications a little scar tissue from band but it was the same surgeon who took it out.

Some me points about yesterday for those waiting for surgery

**They did a special nerve block in my belly to help mitigate pain.  The anesthesiologist used an ultra sound to identify where the patch of nerves were and then injected the medicine around there. It kicks in at 8-12 hours and lasts about 30 hours  reduces the need for long term pain mgmnt

** I did get up and walk as soon as I could and have been

** I had to pee every hour so is don't sleep that well but I untangled myself from the leg pressing things and went in my own

**about 5 am I had pain and nausea and had buyers remorse! I was afraid the discomfort would last  after a top up of pain medicine and nausea slept for a couple hours and

felt so much better

*going home around 1 today

Wish I had brought my protein powder. The stuff they had here was some sort of gel and was repulsive

i did end up wit my mini flashlight and it was great to see my water cups lined up in the night instead of turning on a top light

there were a few other challenges with my IV and then some gas pain but not even 24 hours later and I feel like myself

thanks for all your well wishes and prayers !!

Stupid tablet --losers bench. I hate autocorrect. It tried to put in three different words! If it would only put in what I type it would be nice!

Yay Shauna!  So pleased all went well, have been thinking about you and hoping you were okay.  Water, water and  more water now. It's going down okay for me, but things taste a little different, anything sweet before is super sweet and yoghurt now tastes like cheese!
