An invaluable tool for the pureed stage

I've found that a hand-held blender is SO helpful during the pureed stage.  You can puree your food right in the bowl you plan to eat it in and you don't have to clean the big blender out!  It's a blender on a stick and it works great for blending up Protein shakes, too.  Then it's easy to just rinse it off under the sink.  Another utensil I've found useful is a baby spoon to help me remember to take smaller bites and eat slowly.

Mine is made by Proctor Silex but I just looked on eBay and I see ones for sale made by Braun, Cuisinart, Rival, Oster and other brands.

I am in the Pureed Stage as well.

Tools I use are:

Mini food processor - for the chicken, pork, and meats.

Blender bottle - The reason I dont use a blender is because our nutritionist warned us about the added air it can put into it. the blender botttle doesnt do that. But everyone has their way of doing it.

Baby Spoons and Plates - It may sound silly for those just starting out but for those who have had the surgery can understand why small bites matter! Baby plates tricks your brain into seeing a full plate.

1/8 cup measuring cup - This is tbsp. and its perfect for many serving sizes. Your pouch is only so big 3-4 ounces. great for the Protein serving.

1 tbsp measuring spoon - Same as the measuring cup. Great for the veggie and starch or fruit serving.

Good luck with your journey.
