Help with Navigating the forums.- any links so i dont bother you with the same old questions

Hi there

there must be a way to navigate the forums , besides search, so i dont have to bother everyone with all the newbie questions.

Are there any pinned posts or  Beginners folders that someone could point me to?

Specifically i am looking for

• surgery experience by age group- i am 48
• best vitamins
• post op experiences

Welcome to OH!!

There is a search feature at the top of the webpage next to your user name. It's  little magnifying glass. That's really the easiest way to search for the topics you'd like to check out.

I use the search feature, but I don't like that it doesn't always put the results in date order, so that bugs me a little.  It's important to do the research, but, don't be afraid to ask questions here.  There are lots of newbies all the time and there are lots of very generous more experienced people who are great at answering them!  This site has been an awesome help for me!

There isn't a way to filter age, since not everyone discloses that info.   But, you can search forums using the age reference.  

Product reviews are here:  http://www.obesityhelp.com/products/#

You can search using the box on the top right and filter by company name or product type.  If you choose PRODUCT and type in VITAMIN you will get a list of all vitamin products in the database and reviews for them.   If you are looking for a specific company, choose COMPANY and the company name.   It really is best to just search by product and then what you are looking for (i.e. protein, vitamins, compression garments, etc)   This is why we encourage members to leave a review on any products they have used.  It helps individuals who are looking for information on products. 

For post op experiences, many will share their journey on their blog or profile and some will share it on the boards.   The search function will help to narrow it down for you.
